我们的空气 & 水污染 Control 服务 division is divided into two sections. 

空气污染服务 assists the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) with permitting, 合规检查, 投诉调查, enforcement and air monitoring within Galveston County.

水污染服务 is contracted by Galveston County and several cities to conduct wastewater treatment plant inspections, 投诉调查, grease trap inspection and monitoring of ambient water sources.

德州海滩观察 is a grant-funded program with Texas General Land Office to sample beachfront water along Galveston Island, Bolivar Peninsula and Texas City Dike.

雨水管理 helps maintain regulatory compliance with applicable federal, 状态, and local storm water regulations in the unincorporated portions of the county by conducting permit inspections and outreach.

的 Enviroscape 水shed Model demonstrates how storm water pollution drains to the bay (our nearest watershed) during a rain event. 的 presentation covers what a watershed is, point source and non-point source pollution (with a demonstration on the model), and how to minimize our impact and take care of our watershed.
